DESIGNER'S COMMENTS

Dieter Empacher designed the Bristol 5700 to combine excellent sailing performance with uncompromised cruising luxury. The graceful modern shear and moderate overhangs give the boat a modern, elegant profile that is further enhanced by the flush deck design.

The yacht's long waterlines and generous sailplan promise good all-around sailing performance. A high-efficiency centerboard enhances upwind performance while allowing access to shallow water cruising grounds and anchorages. The carbon fiber mast gives performance and stability advantages. The deck layout is clean and open, with modern sail-handling systems and hydraulically powered winches that make shorthanded sailing a pleasure.

Below, the interior is finished in cherrywood panels with teak floors and solid marble countertops in head and galley. The master stateroom aft provides two large double berths and a private head with stall shower. Two double staterooms forward share an additional head with shower. An attractive rounded dining table is the centerpiece of an exceptionally spacious main salon, which also includes a large nav station and plenty of comfortable seating. The walk-through galley features extensive counter space and all the modern conveniences of home. The interior is customized to meet each individual owner's desires.
