DESIGNER'S COMMENTS
The client, an avid one design sailor, wanted both speed and family cruising comfort in this custom centerboard sloop. It was a challenge to create upwind stability in the medium displacement shallow draft design, and to achieve this, the centerboard carries 800 lbs. of lead ballast. The raised deck house and large windows create a spacious and bright interior and allow for excellent visibility. The carbon fiber mast was built by GMT Composites in Bristol, RI.
The yacht was launched in the summer of 2004 at Kanter Yachts in Canada.
